The six ballots you cast

On election day you receive six ballot papers, each a different colour, and you vote for six different seats.

President: head of state and government, elected nationally. A winner needs over half of all votes cast nationally plus at least 25% of votes in at least 24 counties.

Governor: heads your county government, running county services like health facilities, county roads, water, and markets.

Senator: represents your county in the Senate, which protects county interests and oversees how counties spend money.

Woman Representative: your county's elected woman member of the National Assembly, with a focus on promoting the interests of women and youth.

Member of Parliament (MP): represents your constituency in the National Assembly, which makes national laws and approves the national budget.

Member of County Assembly (MCA): represents your ward in the county assembly, which makes county laws and oversees the governor. This is the leader closest to your daily life.

You may vote for candidates from different parties on different ballots. Each ballot is independent.
