Caroli Omondi is the constitutional lawyer who ran Raila Odinga's engine room and then went to Parliament in his own right. He spent eight years as a Senior State Counsel in the State Law Office, served as chief counsel at the African Trade Insurance Agency, and was Chief of Staff in the Office of the Prime Minister through the whole life of the Grand Coalition government, from 2008 to 2013. In August 2022 he won Suba South for ODM with 25,036 votes, succeeding John Mbadi, and he now chairs the National Assembly's Constitutional Implementation Oversight Committee. One of the more active members of the 13th Parliament by recorded contributions, he has sponsored the Education Laws (Amendment) Bill and co-sponsored the Registration of Persons (Amendment) Bill, and in August 2026 was named a coordinator of the People's Forum for Electoral Preparedness alongside David Maraga and Justin Muturi.
