Kawira Mwangaza Alleges Attack On Meru Event - ynews.digital Howl.link
Kawira Mwangaza served as Meru County's third Governor from 2022 until March 2025, when the High Court upheld her third impeachment by the county assembly, ending a turbulent tenure. A bishop and broadcaster who rose from selling bananas to owning Baite TV, she won the seat as an independent after a term as Meru Woman Representative, but her administration was consumed by a running war with MCAs over appointments and conduct. She was the first Kenyan governor removed through impeachment while serving her first term.
