Registration
What documents do you need?
Only two documents can be used to register and to vote: your Kenyan national identity card or a valid Kenyan passport. Waiting-card slips, birth certificates, driving licences and student IDs are not accepted.
If you have never had an ID, apply at your nearest Huduma Centre or chief's office as early as possible. Processing can take weeks, and you cannot register as a voter until you hold the physical document.
If your ID is lost, apply for a replacement immediately. You can register with a passport in the meantime if you hold one.
The name and details on the register must match your document. If you have changed your name, sort the ID record out first.
