Moses Francis Masika Wetang'ula is a Kenyan politician who has held seats across multiple levels of Kenya's Parliament, beginning as Member of Parliament for Sirisia Constituency under the National Rainbow Coalition (NARC) in the 9th Parliament, and later serving as Senator for Bungoma County under FORD-Kenya, a party he leads as one of Western Kenya's most influential political forces. He was elected Speaker of the National Assembly on 8 September 2022, a position he continues to hold in the 13th Parliament, where he also engages with the Appointments Committee, House Business Committee, Parliamentary Pensions Management Committee, Parliamentary Powers and Privileges Committee, and Procedure and House Rules Committee. Earlier in his career he served as Kenya's Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2008 to 2010 and again from 2011 to 2012, and as Minister for Trade from 2012 to 2013.
