Raphael Tuju, EGH (Elder of the Golden Heart), is a Kenyan politician and former media professional who built a public profile long before entering politics. He worked as a journalist, television producer and communications consultant, and became the first African TV producer to win an International Emmy Award, for a documentary on health and development. He began his political career in 2002, when he was elected Member of Parliament for Rarieda constituency in Siaya County, serving during the 9th Parliament under the National Rainbow Coalition banner.
