Manifesto

5 pillars, each with a public delivery status

  1. 1

Cost of living and taxation In progress

Take the fight against runaway taxation and the cost of living national through Linda Mwananchi, a citizen-funded movement demanding government spend within its means before reaching further into ordinary Kenyans' pockets.

Evidence: Linda Mwananchi (convened with Babu Owino and James Orengo) raised over Sh2.2 million from thousands of small citizen contributions in its first days and has toured Trans Nzoia, Bungoma, the Gusii region, Taita Taveta and Thika.

  2. 2

An independent, accountable opposition In progress

Keep Kenya's opposition genuinely independent of the government of the day, so oversight of public spending and policy never gets traded away for political cooperation.

Evidence: Left the ODM Secretary-Generalship in 2026 rather than soften his opposition to the party's cooperation pact with the Kenya Kwanza government, and now convenes Linda Mwananchi as an independent platform.

  3. 3

    Youth jobs and enterprise Promised

Back a national youth jobs and enterprise push, widening the political and economic space for young Kenyans to lead and build, not just wait their turn.

  4. 4

    Devolution and county empowerment Promised

Strengthen devolved government so counties actually control the resources and decisions the constitution promised them, building on his Senate record of county-level oversight and transparency.

  5. 5

    Transparent, accountable governance In progress

Bring the same reform instincts that rebuilt the Law Society of Kenya's accountability to national government: open books, real oversight, and consequences for those who raid public funds.

Evidence: Led the OkoaLSK lobby that returned accountability and member power to the Law Society of Kenya, and was picked in May 2023 to lead the opposition side of the Azimio-Kenya Kwanza bipartisan talks that formed the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO).
